My Liberal Views
I like listening to people discuss matters of interest. The topics range from simple personal arguments such as dos and do'nts when dating to sports, business and politics. And as you would expect everyone has and says his opinion. I am a firm believer in the freedom of expression. And as such I listen and respect everyone's view however divergent it may be from my own. That's why it is very disappointing, dangerous and bad precedent for this government to arrest, intimidate and harass journalists and bloggers who incidentally are its harshest critics. For any government to be taken seriously it must respect, listen and protect the rights and freedoms of every citizen including its critics. But that is a story for another day. All hell breaks loose when politics comes into play. Reason, facts, tolerance ethics and morality, respect and truth are relegated to the back seat; lies, abuse, fiction, radicalism and greed take the center stage. It is quite baffling if you ...
